Property taxes in Hamilton County will go up after commissioners voted Wednesday to cut the property tax rollback in half.
The commissioners were given a Wednesday deadline to figure out how they are going to pay for Paul Brown Stadium and Great American Ball Park.
Commission President Greg Hartmann made the motion and Chris Monzel seconded it.
The third commissioner, Todd Portune, wanted to increase the county sales tax from 6.5 to 6.75 percent.
The county owes about $22 million for the stadium fund in 2012. The property tax rollback was promised to voters in 1996 when they passed a sales tax increase to fund both Paul Brown Stadium and Great American Ball Park.
