Ready for Redsfest? - Cincinnati News, Weather, Sports from FOX19 NOW-WXIX

Ready for Redsfest?

Thanks to the temperatures dipping down into the 20's overnight, we're back to the grind with scraping and defrosting our cars this morning. Luckily it won't be too chilly this afternoon with highs climbing into the mid 50's but it will be our last chance to enjoy the sunshine for a while! Click here to check out your seven-day forecast.

The five suspects accused of killing 19-year-old Julian Slaven are expected to appear in court this morning. Rob Williams and Sheila Gray will have more information on the FOX19 Morning News.

Butch Jones has continued to leave us hanging with whether or not he plans to stay in Cincinnati. Rumors are swirling after a Denver newspaper stated that he had accepted a coaching job at the University of Colorado. Cory Stark is live on campus this morning with the latest.

If you're a resident of Hamilton County, get ready to see a jump in your property taxes. Commissioners voted last night to take back half of the rollback promised to voters as a way of paying for GABP and Paul Brown Stadium. What are your thoughts on this? Come let us know on our Facebook page!

As you shop around and start crossing people off of your Christmas list, why not throw in a little extra something for a person within the community? Local businesses are asking for you help in filling semi trucks with food and other items for those in need this holiday season. Jessica Brown is live in Springdale with more on the Fill the Truck campaign.

Speaking of Christmas shopping, mark your calendars for December 17th. Over 900 merchants will offer free shipping with guaranteed delivery by Christmas Eve. Here's the full list.

I know all of us in the newsroom are pretty excited about this - with Redsfest getting underway this weekend, Cincinnati's very own Zack Cozart and Chris Heisey will be joining us for a preview! Be sure to tune-in at 9 a.m. for the Morning Xtra with Frank Marzullo and Tracey Johnson!

Check out the hype!
