Antifreeze Cocktail Kills Man

Woman charged in antifreeze poisoning of relative

Her lawyer says a New Jersey woman didn't mean to take it that far. Maryann Neabor is accused of killing her 58-year-old brother-in-law by spiking his drink with antifreeze. Her lawyer says she admits putting the chemical in the drink. But he says she only meant to hurt the man enough so that he would have to move into her home -- and that way she could have access to his money. Neabor is scheduled to appear in court today to be formally told of the murder charges that have been filed against her. Her lawyer says she'll plead innocent. Police say she fixed her brother-in-law a drink that included pineapple juice, maraschino cherries and antifreeze.
