Pinnacle Treatment Center acquires Covington Methadone Clinic

Pinnacle Treatment Centers, which operates a network of drug and alcohol treatment centers, has acquired NKY MED LLC and plans to open a Covington outpatient addiction treatment facility.

The Pinnacle facility will be located at the former Save- A- Lot at 1717 Madison Avenue, the site that NKY MED LLC had planned for its opiate addiction treatment center.

Ron Washington became the sole owner of NKY MED LLC earlier this year after purchasing the shares that were owned by his former partner, Dr. Gary Shearer.

Washington said he decided to partner with Pinnacle because of its record of providing quality care for people suffering with addiction problems.

Pinnacle Treatment Centers provides drug free inpatient and outpatient treatment, medication assisted treatment, and counseling for alcohol and drug addiction. Pinnacle, which provides services to approximately 5,000 individuals daily, is run by Dr. Ken Kessler, who previously founded two leading national health care companies.

Groundbreaking ceremonies for the Covington facility will be held in January.
