LOUISVILLE, KY (FOX19) - A Kentucky trooper was honored on Wednesday night for his effort to cut back on drunk driving.
Trooper Brandon Maupin, of Walton, was awarded for arresting the most DUI's at the Kentucky State Police Post 5 in 2012.
During the 2012 Governor's Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards ceremony, Maupin was recognized for his efforts in traffic safety, leading to the arrests of 61 people charged with Driving Under the Influence.
The ceremony was held at the Galt House in Louisville.
Trooper Maupin is assigned to Gallatin and Owen counties. He is a five year veteran of the Kentucky State Police.
