The holiday season brings decorations of all
sizes, shapes, and colors.
A large present can be seen by thousands of
people on Fountain Square and was built by students from the Art Academy of
Cincinnati. The students brainstormed ideas for the box coming up with a
different theme for each side. From there they let their artistic nature take
over. They incorporated screen printing painting, spray painting, and collage
for sculpture forms onto the surface.
But what's this big present all about? The
box will be a part of the New Years Eve Blast. What's inside will remain a
mystery until the big reveal on New Year's Eve. The big bash will include a
block party, free ice skating, local celebrities, music, and much more.
The
holiday box will disappear in a couple of weeks and will mysteriously reappear
somewhere here on fountain square. The big reveal of what inside the box will
take place New Year's Eve. The New Year's Eve Blast will be shown throughout the
night on FOX19.
