Ind. councilman, educator dies of apparent heart attack

LAWRENCEBURG, IN (FOX19) - A Dearborn County councilman and longtime educator has died at 62 years old.

Eagle 99.3 is reporting Jim Hughes passed away Sunday from a suspected heart attack.

Hughes had just left home to buy a Christmas tree when less than a mile down the road, he began having chest pains.

Hughes was elected to the council's district three seat in 2010. He was also a math teacher at South Dearborn Community Schools for over 30 years.

Funeral arrangements are still being made.
