LOUISVILLE, KY (FOX19) -
Kentucky Lottery players have snatched up all available Pick Four tickets with the 1-2-1-2 combination, in honor of Dec. 12, 2012.
All
available 1-2-1-2 Pick 4 tickets for Wednesday's midday and evening drawing have
been sold out.Tickets are still
available for the 1-2-1 and 1-2-2 Pick 3 midday and evening drawings.
"We expect
these remaining Pick 3 combinations will sell out today, especially when
players see the 1-2-1-2 Pick 4 combinations have already been snapped up," said
the KLC's Vice President of Communications Chip Polston. "Players looking for
these specific numbers should check in at their local lottery retailer quickly since
they probably won't last long."
A
maximum of 2,500 $1 straight match tickets for a particular set of Pick 3
numbers are all that can be bought for the game's midday or evening drawing, as
the potential prize liability for any combination cannot exceed $1.5 million.
Pick 4 players have 300 $1 straight match midday and 300 $1 straight match evening
tickets available for any numeric combination as this game has the same $1.5
million liability limit.
In
examining records going back to June 1998, no instances of 1-2-1-2 being drawn
were found. 1-2-1 was the winning Pick 3 number on August 7 2010, and 1-2-2 was
last drawn on August 24 2006.
