Warsaw man charged in deadly Gallatin Co. ambulance crash

CARROLL COUNTY, KY (FOX19) - A young man is in jail, charged with the death of a patient riding in an ambulance.

Back in July, troopers reported that an SUV driven by Hunter LeGrand crashed into an ambulance in Gallatin County.

Troopers say the impact of the collision flipped the ambulance onto its roof.

A dialysis patient, John Little, 59,  was in the back of the ambulance at the time. Little died later at University Hospital.

Troopers told FOX19 that they suspected that LeGrand was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Troopers said LeGrand had been involved in a hit and run accident moments before hitting the ambulance.

On Tuesday, LeGrand, 22, of Warsaw, was booked into the Carroll County jail on charges of murder, assault, criminal mischief, DWI and leaving the scene of a crash.
