Gallatin County crash kills one, injures three

GALLATIN COUNTY, KY (FOX19) - A two vehicle accident left one dead on Friday while injuring a woman and two children.

The accident occurred on Eastbound 42 in Gallatin County.

According to Kentucky state police, Maria Miller, 26, of Warsaw, was traveling west on US 42 with her two children when a child in the back seat got out of the seatbelt and stood up. As Miller turned to get the child to sit, her vehicle crossed the double yellow line.

Miller's vehicle collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Joseph Gripshover. Gripshover, 30, of Warsaw, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Gallatin County coroner.  Gripshover was wearing a seatbelt.

Miller was transported to the University of Cincinnati Hospital where she is in stable condition.

One child was flown by PHI, Inc. to the University of Cincinnati Hospital.  The other was transported by Gallatin County EMS.  Both children are in stable condition.
