Developments In Peterson Case

Detective: Suspected blood found in Scott Peterson's truck

A California detective has testified he collected suspected blood spots from the steering wheel and near the driver's door handle of Scott Peterson's truck. However, Detective Henry Hendee didn't say whether the samples were actually blood. Relatives already have testified Peterson told them he'd cut his hand and that police were likely to find blood in the truck. Peterson is charged with murdering his pregnant wife, Laci, and dumping her body in San Francisco Bay. Hendee also found a single strand of hair on some pliers in Scott Peterson's boat. Experts say the hair is likely Laci Peterson's, though an exact match is impossible.

Also, a police evidence technician testified an examination about a week after Laci Peterson disappeared revealed Scott Peterson had no bruises or scratches on his body.
