A proposed community center is stirring up controversy in West Chester Township.
Residents in favor of the center say it'll make their growing community an even better place to live...others say it could turn into a money pit.
That's right some residents fear the center's operating costs will end falling on taxpayers shoulders. They say taking such a risk should therefore be up to the taxpayers...and want it on the November ballot so they can vote on it.
The 33 million dollar project would be built on Union Center Boulevard across from Lakota West High School it would have an art room and swimming pools among other things.
Tonight town trustees voted to move ahead with the project...now opponents have 30 days to collect 1577 signatures...to get the issue on the november ballot.
