Local search-and-rescue dogs get free vet services Sunday

The University of Cincinnati's Blue Ash campus hosted the 19th annual Canine Corp. health clinic on Sunday afternoon.
The health clinic features local veterinarians who perform various physical exams and diagnostics in their respective fields on local police and search-and-rescue dogs from the Tri-State area.
"It's important for any pet to have an exam, but these dogs are actually working dogs so they serve a purpose in the community and actually have jobs so it's really important that they can stay healthy and be able to function because if they a condition that either limits their health or distracts them from their job they won't be able to perform as well," said Dr. Nathalie Tabacca of MedVet.
