The Cincinnati Reds' fifth-round draft pick, Mason Felt, was critically injured in a car crash Saturday morning in Texas.
According to a report from the San Angelo Standard-Times, Felt, 18, was driving his pickup truck eastbound on Interstate 10 and began drifting toward the shoulder. He then overcorrected, causing the truck to cross both lanes of traffic before flipping over.
Felt's father, Roger, was killed in the crash.
Mason felt is in critical but stable condition at a Texas hospital.
Mason Felt is a left-handed pitcher from Hoschton, Ga., who signed with the Reds right out of high school.
