BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - Sending children to school on Monday had a very different feel after what took place in Connecticut. Law enforcement in one local community have already changed their approach safety services.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office is trying to be proactive by stepping up patrols around area schools.
"We immediately put officers on alert, but we didn't need to. Most of them are parents, grandparents, but we want them out there as much as they can be," said Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.
