Officials break ground on 2013 St. Jude Dream Home
GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -
FOX19 has teamed up with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Fischer Homes once again.
A new Dream Home will be given away in 2013.
On Tuesday, FOX19 Morning Xtra was live with Tracey Johnson and Frank Marzullo to break ground on the site of the new home.
The four bedroom, two-and-a-half bath house, with an estimated value of $360,000, is being built in the Bridge Point community in Miami Township at 7601 Bridge Point Pass.
A limited number of chances to win the St. Jude Dream Home house and 15 additional prizes will go on sale for $100 each beginning in March 2013.
The winning names will be announced on FOX19 on June 28, 2013.
All proceeds from the promotion will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, one of the world's premier pediatric cancer research centers.
Alicia Buren of St. Jude revealed the importance of the dream home, "The operating costs have increased to $1.8 million per day. So campaigns such as this one are very, very integral to running the hospital funding, the research, which is a huge part of what they do at St. Jude."
