Last minute shoppers rush to beat Christmas clock

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Several Tri-State stores stayed open late on Christmas Eve to accommodate the last minute shopper. And FOX19 posed the question. Why do you wait so late? " I don't know, just because had to get a little bit more stuff," said Kierra Barkley who was picking up gifts at Meijer in Colerain Township. "I always over do it," said Stephon Taylor. "I shop in November and (my business is good) so I get obsessive. Then I'll go out and buy more. So, now I'm caught up in the more thing again."

Last minute gifts were not the only items on the last minute Christmas list. "I'm buying ten pies and two coffee cakes for Christmas dinner," said Donna Wallpe. "We have a big family and I have to feed about 55 people."

Some who do their shopping early find themselves going back to the stores for more. "They're two little girls so I just spoil them," Stephon Taylor about his two young daughters. "I just spoil them rotten and I'm alright with it."
