COVINGTON, KENTUCKY (FOX19) - Volunteers from Mental Health America served meals to more than 2,000 individuals this Christmas.
Hundreds of volunteers opened the doors at Covington Convention Center on Tuesday morning, welcoming individuals and families in need. The volunteers began serving around 11:00 a.m. and continued into the afternoon.
Aside from the meal, volunteers provided gifts and activities for the children. Santa and Mrs. Claus were also in attendance.
Mental Health America is the nation's largest and oldest community-based network dedicated to helping all Americans live mentally healthier lives.
This is the organization's 25th year serving Christmas meals in the tri-state.
