Road crews are continuing to clear streets in anticipation of overnight freezing in the Tri-State.

Several accidents were reported all over the Tri-State on Wednesday due to a winter storm and icy spots. With temperatures dropping into the overnight hours, driving conditions could worsen going into Thursday morning.

The City of Cincinnati announced approximately 65 crews will be treating the streets on Wednesday evening. Plows will be used in some of the heavier hit areas, and salt trucks will be driven in lighter areas.

The City of Cincinnati put the Emergency Accident Reporting procedure into effect on Wednesday morning. If you are involved in a automobile accident in the city and the vehicles are driveable and no one is injured, exchange information with the other party and report the accident to the police district within 24 hours.

In Northern Kentucky, road crews were out plowing and running routes in Carroll, Gallatin, Boone and Kentucky counties. Other northern Kentucky counties were patrolling and treating as needed. Crews will continue to work throughout the night until the weather has passed.

Motorists are urged to used caution, especially on bridges and overpasses.
