Emergency crews responded to a Florence business Wednesday morning on a report of an explosion.
It happened just before 9:30 a.m. at Givaudan Flavors on Sam Neace Drive.
Fire crews arrived on scene to find no fire, but evidence of a substantial explosion that had scattered debris throughout the grounds of the plant.
The explosion occurred when a truck was off loading product into a storage silo on the side of the facility. Firefighters checked for any remaining fire and accounted for all plant personnel.
FOX19 received several calls and e-mails from viewers who reported hearing a large boom in the area.
No one was hurt.
Givaudan is a fragrance and flavor industry, according to its website. The investigation has been turned over to company personnel.
