EAST PRICE HILL (FOX19) - Drivers should take notice of scheduled traffic changes coming to the roadways in East Price Hill on Wednesday.
The changes are part of the US 50/Sixth Street Expressway Project.
Beginning on Wednesday, Maryland Avenue will be closed at its southern intersection with Elberon Avenue. Access will only be provided to local residents at its northern intersection with Mt. Hope Avenue, and will not be a through street.
On Thursday, access from westbound River Road/U.S. 50 to westbound Elberon Avenue will move onto a newly constructed ramp, located at a new traffic signal on River Road. Westbound traffic on River Road will have a continuous thru lane.
Also on Thursday, The Evans Street intersection with River Road will re-open as a right-in and right-out intersection. Access from eastbound River Road to Evans Street, and Evans Street to eastbound River Road will be prohibited.
Officials say immediately following the reopening of the Evans Street intersection, the southern portion of State Avenue between St. Michael and River Road will be closed. This will also close access both to and from State Ave. to River Road, Elberon Ave. and Warsaw Ave. This southern part of State Ave. will remain closed for approximately 12 months until construction is completed on the new ramp.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says detour signage will direct drivers.
