11 families displaced after Lockland apartment fire

LOCKLAND, OH (FOX19) -

Several families were displaced after an apartment caught fire in Lockland on Thursday.

Fire crews were called to an apartment building at 600 Stewart Avenue around 4 p.m.

According to authorities, the fire started on the stove inside one of the apartments.

Upon arrival, seven neighbors were standing on their balconies, due to smoke coming from the building. They were rescued by fire truck ladders on scene.

No one was home in the apartment at the time, and no one was injured.

Fire crews revealed 11 families were displaced from their homes, as a result. The Red Cross has been called to offer assistance.
