Suspect arrested for series of burglaries and thefts

WILLIAMSBURG, OH (FOX19) -

A suspect has been arrested in Brown County for his involvement in several burglaries and thefts over the course of six months.

Steven Hartman, 23, of Williamsburg was taken into custody on Jan. 5 near Milford.

Hartman is currently incarcerated at the Brown County Adult Detention Center and has been charged with three counts of Burglary, one with an elderly specification; six counts of Theft, Felony, three from a disabled adult; and three counts of Criminal Trespass. 

Hartman was arraigned in Brown County Municipal Court on January 7, 2013 and was given a bond of $50,000.00 cash, surety, property.

Police say the crimes occurred between the first part of July 2012 through the end of December 2012 around Mt. Orab and Williamsburg.

"All of the cases remain open at this time pending further investigation, and additional arrests are expected," said Brown County Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger.

    The team has already said they would ordain as Buddhist novices to honor a former Thai navy SEAL diver who died in the cave while making preparations for their rescue.
