Schools receive first payout from casinos

COLUMBUS, OH (FOX19) - The Ohio Department of Taxation released a report breaking down of the first casino revenues headed to local school districts across Ohio.

Districts will receive payments on a semi-annual basis.

According to the report here is the breakdown of payment to Southwest Ohio counties:

  • Adams County: $115,125
  • Brown County: $168, 245
  • Butler County: $1,429,337
  • Clermont County: $688,803
  • Clinton County: $169,980
  • Hamilton County: $2,399,638
  • Highland County: $167,617
  • Warren County: $822,335

Cincinnati Public Schools will receive the largest payout of $641,910.

The current payments will be distributed before the end of the month and the next payment will be received Aug. 31.
