Milford levy defeated in Nov., voters to see new levy in May - Cincinnati News, Weather, Sports from FOX19 NOW-WXIX

Milford School Board sends new $4 million levy to the ballot

After voters in Milford defeated a $4.5 million school levy in November, they will now head back to the polls.

The school board unanimously approved a new $4 million levy 5-0, which will appear on the May ballot.

School officials say even if the levy passes, cuts will still be made. Those would include delays for new textbooks and possibly eliminating some teacher aides.

If it fails, Milford Schools could resort to state minimum busing, as well as staff layoffs.

The school board will officially ratify the new levy at its next meeting, scheduled for January 24th.
