LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – There is more trouble for the son of a Kentucky U.S. senator.
New charges have been filed against William Hilton Paul, the son of Senator Rand Paul. Police say the younger Paul is facing a new charge of assault on a female by aggressive force.
William Paul, 19, was arrested January 5 at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport after his flight from Lexington landed there. Paul was charged with consuming beer or wine underage, disorderly conduct and being intoxicated and disruptive.
The circumstances around the new charge have not yet been revealed and it is unknown if the new charge is related to his previous arrest.
Police say Paul was possibly served alcohol on the flight, but U.S. Airways explicitly denies serving alcohol to the teen.
