Volunteers clean up neglected Cincinnati cemetery

Volunteers are helping to clean up a neglected cemetery in Cincinnati. About 30 volunteers turned out yesterday to cut grass and weeds and collect fallen tree branches at the Wesleyan Cemetery. The 25-acre graveyard has become overgrown since its former trustee went to prison for stealing 93-thousand dollars from the cemetery's maintenance fund. About 26-thousand people have been buried in Wesleyan Cemetery since the 1800s -- including about 17-hundred military veterans. The cemetery's fate may be decided in December when a judge in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court hears a lawsuit by Ohio Attorney General Jim Petro to remove the cemetery's trustee.
