Suspect arrested at library after shooting in OTR

OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) -

A suspect was arrested at the public library after a shooting Tuesday afternoon in Over the Rhine.

The shooting occurred around 12:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Vine Street, near Central Parkway.

Police chased the suspect, 18-year-old Kalupe Dawson-Wilson, to the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County in the 800 block of Vine Street.

Dawson-Wilson was arrested and charged with Felonious Assault.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was shot in the stomach. He was taken to UC Medical Center for surgery.
