NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A convicted sex offender is jailed in Missouri after he was accused of raping a young singer earlier this month in Nashville.

Metro Police said Robert Lile, 55, was managing the 14-year-old girl and had brought her to Nashville last weekend to perform.

While in Nashville, Lile allegedly pulled a knife on the girl and raped her repeatedly.

On Sunday, Lile left the hotel where they were staying and left the girl behind.

She then called her parents, and police later arrested Lile at a relative's home in Missouri.

Investigators said Lile met the alleged victim while judging a talent show in Kansas.

He was convicted in 1983 of aggravated kidnapping and rape of a teenager, and police said they expect him to be extradited to Nashville in the next few days.
