Cincinnati, OH (FOX19) - A little more than 3 weeks before the start of spring training the Reds have avoided arbitration with reliever Logan Ondrusek. Ondrusek has agreed to a two year contract extension. Terms of the deal aren't known.
In three seasons with the Reds Ondrusek has gone 15-7 with 33 holds and an ERA of 3.45.
Ondrusek is expected to be a key member of a Reds bullpen planning to shift Johnathan Broxton to the closer's role.
Reds pitchers and catchers report to spring training in Goodyear, Arizona February 12th.
