Four Ohio media markets among mation's top five for campaign ads

In case you haven't noticed, a lot of presidential campaign television commercials are being aired in Ohio. In fact, a new study finds that four Ohio media markets were among the top five nationally being saturated with presidential TV ads during a recent three-and-a-half-month period.

The Toledo TV market leads the nation, followed by Dayton, Kansas City, Columbus and Cleveland. Cincinnati is 23rd, Youngstown 26th, Lima 69th and Zanesville 70th.

The study, which covers March fourth through June 20th, was conducted by Nielsen Monitor-Plus and the University of Wisconsin Advertising Project. Nielsen is part of the same company that provides Nielsen TV ratings.

The study found that ad-buyers for Democrat John Kerry like The Late Show, Judge Judy and Family Feud, while the re-election team of President Bush prefers The Tonight Show, Law and Order and Wheel of Fortune. Both made many purchases during local news broadcasts.
