NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Nashville businesses are ready for a monster weekend downtown as two events, attracting thousands of people, converge over the next two days.

Fans have already started lining up outside Bridgestone Arena, hoping to get a glimpse of pop music star Justin Bieber before his concert Friday night.

From mothers with daughters, teens and even 30-somethings, more people were milling around Broadway than usual ahead of the big concert.

Some of those people are also likely in town for the Nashville Predators, who open their 2013 season with a game Saturday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Many visitors are making their way into the honkey tonks, restaurants and bars near Lower Broad, such as Bailey's.

It's a rush of traffic managers have been anticipating ever since the NHL lockout ended earlier this month.

"We brought on a little extra staff to get through the Justin Bieber concert. It will start off around 7, so we expect to get a good rush between 5 and 7 and possibly a rush afterwards," said Scott Frame, manager of Bailey's Sports Bar and Grille.

Frame said his establishment even plans to double the staff on hand as the Preds drop the puck at 7 p.m.

"It's nice to have it back. I don't know the words to describe it. It's good to at least know we don't have to panic about staffing," he said.
