Homeowner identified as victim of Latonia house fire

A man killed in a fire Tuesday morning in Latonia has been identified.

James Fogle Jr., who owned the home, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Covington fire chief says at least one person jumped from the second story to escape the fire. Fogle was found on the second floor.

The fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday on East 41st Street, near Winston Avenue, across from Burlington Coat Factory.

Several crews were dispatched to the scene and are still on the scene trying to determine a cause.

Power lines are also down in the area.

Firefighters had to battle the frigid temperatures while battling the fire. TANK brought in a bus to help keep them warm.
