Two local high school football coaches are leaving their schools to join the football coaching staff at Mt. St. Joseph.

Tom Grippa, who coached the last ten seasons at La Salle High School, will be offensive coordinator at MSJ.  Grippa also coached at Fairfield and Elder.

MSJ head coach Rod Huber says he will meet with Grippa Tuesday afternoon to finalize the details.  La Salle has confirmed Grippa's resignation as football coach and will release a statement regarding the next steps for the football program later Tuesday afternoon.

Also joining the MSJ football staff is long time Boone County head football coach Rick Thompson.  Thompson, who spent nearly 30 years at Boone County High School, will be special teams coordinator for Mt. St. Joseph.
