Ex-student arrested after Antioch High School lockdown

A former Antioch High School student faces charges after the school was briefly put on lockdown when he came into the building Tuesday morning.

Police said another student reported seeing what they thought to be a gun in the 16-year-old former student's backpack.

During a search, police found the teen hiding in a mechanical room, and an airsoft pistol was recovered in a locker room trash can.

Police said another airsoft gun was located behind a bathroom toilet, but investigators believe that weapon is not related to Tuesday's lockdown.

The teen, who is now enrolled in Rutherford County and had apparently come to Antioch to visit another student, is charged with aggravated criminal trespassing and loitering.
