FORT WRIGHT, KY (FOX19) -
A grand opening of a new health
care resource for Kenton County students opened on Wednesday.
HealthPoint Family Care and the
Kenton County School District partnered to bring a school-based health center
to River Ridge Elementary School.
The center will be open 16
hours per week, staffed by HealthPoint nurse practitioner Brandy Andrew,
offering physical exams, immunizations, diagnosis and treatments.
School officials say the
school-based health centers provide advantages for students and parents,
including convenient, inexpensive care where children already spend most of the
day and reduces absences due to illness.
