KSP trooper killed in crash

MOREHEAD, KY (FOX19) - A Kentucky State Police trooper has been killed in a crash in central Kentucky.

Trooper Anson Blake Tribby, 25, of Mt. Sterling, was involved in a crash on eastbound I-64 in Clark County on Tuesday evening.

According to the Maysville Ledger Independent, Tribby was a 2005 graduate of Mason County High School and the University of Kentucky. He was the son of former Commonwealth's Attorney Detective Bob Tribby and Pam Tribby, director of contracted services for Hospice of Hope in Maysville.

Tribby was driving his personal Toyota pick up truck when he struck a flatbed wrecker driven by John Masterson, 54, of Winchester.

Trooper Tribby was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clark County Coroner. He was a two-and-a-half year veteran with the Kentucky State Police and was assigned to the Morehead post.

The collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
