Charmin matches local lotto winner's donation to non-profit
WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) -
After word spread that a local million-dollar lottery winner was giving back to Reach Out Lakota, Charmin decided to get match her donation.
Regina Jackson of Hamilton won $1 million at the beginning of the year. As a result, she decided to help out a local organization, which provides food, clothing and other necessities to the needy in Butler County, and donated $5,000.
Charmin matched her contribution, and donated 5,000 rolls of toilet paper in her name to the organization.
"Our hope is that this donation will allow Reach Out Lakota to provide even more ample assistance to the families it serves on a monthly basis," said Laura Dressman, Charmin Communications Manager.
"Reach Out Lakota is very grateful to Charmin for providing 5,000 rolls of toilet paper to our organization," said Lourdes Ward, Executive Director of Reach Out Lakota. "Toilet paper is an easy thing to take for granted, but thanks to Charmin, the families who we support will not need to worry about this necessity."
Jackson said Reach Out Lakota also helped her through a difficult time.
