Educators plan to gather next month to discuss ways of improving arts education. The conference is scheduled August 16th through 18th at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts in Hamilton. It's intended as a forum for teachers and administrators to discuss how to improve arts education for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The National Endowment for the Arts is sponsoring the event, along with the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Arts Council. Governor Bob Taft has invited school districts from across Ohio to attend the Hamilton conference.
