Annual 'Ugly' bash raises big bucks for charity
It's going to get ugly in Rochester, New York, this weekend. An annual fund-raising party thrown by a group called Ten Ugly Men is tomorrow in a Rochester park. The event started 14 years ago as a way for a bunch of single 20-somethings to drink beer -- and hopefully meet single women. That first gathering attracted about 200 people and raised a thousand dollars for a children's hospital. This weekend's bash is expected to draw a record crowd of eight-thousand to Genesee Valley Park and raise 125-thousand dollars for a neighborhood center and a cancer research foundation.
