Man Accused of Shooting Wife

A Butler County man is accused of hiding in his wife's van then pulling out a gun and trying to kill her.
Amy Rezos is in critical condition at a Dayton hospital. Even after being shot twice in the head, police say she was able to tell them Christopher Rezos of Liberty Township tried to kill her.
After the shooting, the mini-van crashed on Lesourdsville-West Chester Road in Liberty Township. "Preliminarily, we believe that she was unaware that he was in that vehicle when she left the house. Based on some witness statements and some other statements we've gotten we believe that it was a surprise to her that he was in the back of that vehicle, " said Major Anthony Dwyer of the Butler County Sheriff's Office.
Police say Amy Rezos had a protective order against her husband because he allegedly attacked her earlier this month. Chris Rezos broke his leg in the van crash, and police say he will be arrested after he's treated.
The couple has two children.
