UC off to best start in Big East

UC held off a second half Seton Hall rally to improve to 6-3 in conference, the best Big East start in school history.

The Bearcats built a 20 point second half lead, but the Pirates rallied to within four. Sean Kilpatrick hit a clutch three-pointer and UC made enough foul shots down the stretch to beat Seton Hall, 65-59.

Kilpatrick led UC with 21 points.

UC improves to 18-4 overall on the season and the win is also Mick Cronin's 200th of his head coaching career.

UC's next game is Providence on Wednesday.
