NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Police said a shot was fired, and a driver was arrested during a road rage incident late Sunday night.
Metro police said Anthony Ewin was driving on Brick Church Pike around 10:30 p.m. when he slammed into a car near Chesapeake Drive.
According to a warrant, Ewin tried to drive away but ran off the other side of the road and hit a telephone pole.
Police said a woman who saw the crash ran over and tried to help, but Ewin started backing up and the other driver shot at him.
Ewin then ran from the scene.
Police later caught up with him and took him into custody.
Ewin is charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of an accident.
