New developments in a deadly hit-skip that left a great-grandmother dead.

19 Action News has learned investigators have seized an SUV they think struck and killed 81-year-old Maxine Lobins.

Lobins was walking with her walker on Lorain Ave. near Kamm's Corner when she was struck. Witnesses say the driver just took off.

Investigators have been working on the case trying to find video of what happened, but they have come up short.

Multiple sources tell us an SUV matching the description of the vehicle that hit Lobins is at the medical examiner's office. Investigators are checking to see if it is the vehicle involved in the deadly hit-skip. If it is, they tell us, a high school girl may have been behind the wheel when Lobins was killed.

Lobins's family recently put up a big reward to find the person responsible.

"Whoever you are, I hope you have the charity in your heart to come and confess," family friend Ellamae Kilbane said. "I don't know how you could live with yourself."

It's not clear at this time how long it may take for investigators to confirm if the SUV being held is involve in the accident.

If you do know anything about the day Lobins was killed, call Crime Stoppers at 216-25-CRIME (7463). You could be eligible for a cash reward.
