Cincinnati, OH (FOX19) - He's got the right nickname. Now Knicks forward James White finally has the chance to prove it fits - on one of basketball's biggest stages.
A star at the University of Cincinnati from 2003 - 2006, James "Flight" White will compete in the NBA's slam dunk competition February 16th in Houston. White was a second round pick of Portland in 2006 but has spent more time playing overseas and in the D League than the NBA.
Also in the competition is UK product Erik Bledsoe.
