MIAMI TOWNSHIP, CLERMONT COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -
Police released a sketch of a man they hope to identify in connection with a Clermont County shooting death.
Paul Leiter, 65, was found shot to death inside his residence on Pinebluff Drive in Miami Township.
Miami Township Police say Leiter was shot around 8 p.m. on Monday evening. Officers responded to the home just after 6 a.m. on Tuesday when the victim's wife, Ann Abele, told dispatchers that she had found her husband dead in a chair.
Abele told police it looked like shots had come from outside the home and through a window. Investigators confirmed that several bullets had come through the window.
On Friday, authorities released the sketch of an unknown man see walking in the neighborhood the night of the murder.
"This man was not recognized by the people who saw him. It's not clear if he may be a visitor to the neighborhood, a witness to the crime, or somehow involved with the murder," said R. Steven Bailey, Miami Township Chief of Police. "We would like to know who he is and to speak with him."
Extra patrols were also ordered for the area.
"We are doing this to reassure the residents that live there, but also to provide them an opportunity to talk with use if they have something to share," said Bailey.
No one is currently in custody. Investigators say they are examining several possibilities in the incident.
Anyone with information about the identity of sketch, or may heard anything unusual in the neighborhood, is asked to contact the Miami Township Police Department at (513) 248-3721.
