WILLIAMSTOWN, KY (FOX19) -
A formal construction contract has been signed to bring a Noah's Ark-themed amusement park to Northern Kentucky.
The contract was signed with The Troyer Group, based in Mishawaka, Ind.
Officials hope to have construction permits in hand by November of 2013.
The amusement park will be located on 800 acres off of Interstate 75 in Williamstown. The Christian ministry Answers in Genesis, which opened the Creation
Museum in Hebron in 2007, is directing the construction of the
500-foot-long wooden ark.
According to the Ark Encounter website, at the end of 2012, the Ark Encounter completed a
matching gift challenge which exceeded its end-of-year donation goal of $3
