Couple barred from flight because of man's shirt
An airline passenger was ordered off a New York-bound flight for revealing a body part -- and it wasn't even his. An American Airlines spokesman says crew members acted properly in Saturday's incident -- which he said involved a T-shirt depicting a lewd act. Oscar Arela and his girlfriend were flying home from Miami after a vacation. The girlfriend says the shirt only depicted a man and woman -- but that the woman's breast was showing. The couple was ordered off the flight after Arela refused to change the shirt or turn it inside out. The flight left 90 minutes late without them. The airline spokesman says the airline has rules -- like a restaurant or any service business -- and crew members are authorized to enforce those decency standards. The couple says the airline violated their right to free speech.
