Victims' names released in apparent murder-suicide

NORTHSIDE, OH (FOX19) -

An investigation is underway after an apparent murder-suicide in Northside.

Around 10 p.m. on Monday Cincinnati Police officers responded to a home in the 4100 block of Dane Avenue to check on a resident. Upon entry of the home, officers found two people dead from gunshot wounds.

The victims have been identified as Tanika Carter, 34, and Christian Mitchell, 36.

The incident is being investigated by the CPD's Homicide Unit and the Hamilton County Coroner's Office.
