ROSELAWN, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati Police Chief James Craig worked with the city's religious community on Tuesday.

At Allen Temple in Roselawn, he discussed the Police Chaplains Program, which is a group of ordained ministers who operate throughout the five districts and provide non-denominational support.

The chaplains provide confidential services to police personnel, in addition to family members of crime victims. They remain on call 24 hours a day.

Craig also answered rumors about him leaving for Detroit, saying he was previously contacted about the open police chief position, but nothing has happened since.

Chief Craig began his police career in Detroit back in 1977.
